The Mysteriously Unnamed Blog

Well, hello there! I am thinking about starting a new history/writing blog that will incorporate the weird Victorian stuff I love but also include my adventures in writing my mystery novel (now back to the title The Black Mirror, for now) - which is shaping up to be, of all things, a linked-stories novel.

Here's the thing, though: the linked stories are (some of them) based on several of the posts here in the Dime Museum...all of which I will try to explain over there. Only - Over There does not exist yet. And I am going to be spectacularly busy IRL until the end of next week, actually.

Oh, and I don't have a good name for this new blog yet. And you know how it is, with blogs or novels or stories, you really do have to have just the right title. I was thinking of calling it The Mystery Machine (some of you know that I was very excited about this blog title awhile back) - but I suspect that people will think it is a Scooby Doo blog and be confused and/or annoyed.

And when I do find a good name - and when it is up and running - I will let you know. The ads are from The Century (1889), link here for larger version. It says that G.A. McBride wrote 129 words in a minute, blindfolded, on the Caligraph - this is just what I need!
