...Don't put this in the tub.
Why is the person in the ad (a) hiding behind the sign and (b) either wearing black gloves or - well, I don't really want to speculate on the alternative. In any case, ammonia does not sound like a good addition to the bath.
But if you don't want to scrub yourself with Scrubb's, you can clean your clothes, your carpets, and your jewellery with it. It is Marvellous, Refreshing, Invaluable, Splendid and Invigorating. Mr. Scrubb thinks that you ought to just carry a bottle around with you; it will probably come in handy, in some marvellous, invigorating way.

Ammonia scares me a little ~
When I first was married (which is now over 28 years ago)
I was trying to be "Martha Stewart" and have a spotless bathroom.
In the process I inadvertently used both ammonia and bleach ...
Let's just say -
It was QUITE AWHILE before I could go back in there!
All I know is I can already smell ammonia in my, er, "toilet".
I want to know what "toilet purposes" are. But anything that is for your bath AND that restores color to carpets is kind of scarey.
I don't think I would want something as refreshing as a Turkish bath. Wouldn't that involve huge men slapping you around in the guise of it being a massage? No way. No thanks.
yikes! those are some scary use combinations.
Grocers and chemists agree. Same can be said for Tang.
dawn - I dislike ammonia, too. It is something to stay away from, I think.
Daisy - Yes indeed. This is a startling ad, which is what got my attention.
Vintage Gent- All I know is, if it cleans carpets, I don't want to wash myself with it.
Chat Blanc - I wonder if anyone actually did all that with it. maybe they were making it up!
Brian - Oh, don't get me started on Tang! Actually I will have to do a Tang post. Bad memories of Tang. Did you know there was also Grape Tang? Speaking of bad memories...
What does "by appointment to the king" mean?
I have had bad experiences with ammonia also. I would rather use bleach any day.
But also I am thinking if one "needs" ammonia in the tub....perhaps they should bathe more often...yikes.
Yes, I smell ammonia coming from Daisy's direction as well . . . I hope she used the litterbox and not my new sheets!
Max - It means we don't want to inquire into King Edward's bath routine too much.
Alicia - Yes, exactly. The more you read this ad, the worse it gets.
Starcasm - I am sure that she did everything perfectly. And thank you for the Stumble!
