The Hanging Gardens of Brooklyn

Perhaps they mean Babylon, Long Island?

Here is one of the many more than seven wonders of the Brooklyn Public Library's Fulton Street Trade Card Collection, which advertises C. Riesterer's shoe store at 833 Fulton Street, Brooklyn.

I wish that the artist had put in some shoe displays amid the hanging gardens, to strengthen the tenuous link that Mr. Riesterer meant to make between the gardens and his fancy boots and shoes.
